Day 5: Friday

As the saying goes, “All good things must come to an end.” When we sailed from Great Stirrup Cay, the evening before, we had to start getting ourselves back into the mould of being back into the real world. We would have to prepare our own breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sitting on the balcony of our cabin and taking in the lovely sea breeze would come to a halt. Watching a movie or two during the day had come to a screeching halt. There will be no waking up at 9:30 a.m. but back to being up by 6:15 a.m. instead. No more lazing around and doing whatever you want when you feel like doing it. It was back to reality. We had packed the night before as we knew we could not turn back the clock. One wonderful reason for looking forward to going home was to see the children and my brother. That brought great joy!

The Norwegian Sky on which we had traveled  through the Bahama Islands for the past four days arrived at Port Miami at about 7:00 a.m. As we disembarked and placed our feet on American soil again, it was back to reality and the world of normalcy. Thanks be to God for the good people of Holy Sacrament who we serve, for their love, support, generosity and for presenting us with this cruise! We appreciate it very much. It was a fantastic time well spent.
