Confirmation Class

The Sacrament of Confirmation is a time when a boy or girl makes the mature decision to confirm the promises which their parents and Godparents made on their behalf at Baptism. At Holy Sacrament, Confirmation classes for children, 12 years and older, are held on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. (September to May). After which, the Bishop visits the church, and lays hands on the confirmands. Through instruction and conversation, the candidates share in a journey towards a more matured faith.

High School Christian Education

High Schoolers meet immediately following the 10:15 a.m. Service in the Youth Room in the MacDonald Building for their Christian Education program. Conversations, which normally revolve around topics of prayer, self, sexuality, spirituality, and society, are held in an environment where friendships with peers and adult leaders are formed and the youth share in community their personal and spiritual growth.

Youth Group

Middle and High schoolers meet on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the MacDonald Building for fun and fellowship with their peers. They are encouraged to invite their friends to come and see what we do. The Youth Department seeks to build relationships between the students and adults in the Parish, focus on reaching out to others particularly the poor and homeless through delivery foodstuff to families at Thanksgiving, and the Souper Bowl of Caring. They attend diocesan and deanery events, seminars, workshops, and conferences, and invited speakers to address them on various life-related topics. The Department hosts a youth retreat every two years.

Youth Council

The Youth Ministry program is led by a Youth Council that comprises adult youth leaders, youth representatives and the Clergy.  The Council is responsible for the programming of youth events and activities.
