The Reverend Jeremy C. Froyen, OSF (Father Jeremy) began his first call at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Sacrament on June 1, 2016. Fr. Jeremy’s ordination to the Diaconate took place on December 10, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church in Boynton Beach, FL and his ordination to the Priesthood took place here at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Sacrament on June 4, 2016.
Fr. Jeremy is a graduate from The Protestant Episcopal Seminary in Virginia (Virginia Theological Seminary) with his Master of Divinity. During his time in seminary Fr. Jeremy served St. Columba’s Episcopal Church in Washington, DC as their Seminarian in residence. Fr. Jeremy is also a graduate from Florida Atlantic University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in History with a minor in Religious Studies.
Prior to pursuing ordination, Fr. Jeremy was received into the Order of St. Francis, an Anglican Franciscan Order, in October of 2011 and he made his first profession in July of 2015. He is currently in formation to make his life profession in July of 2017. Fr. Jeremy has served in the United States Army, and with the Memphis Fire Rescue Department and Collier County Fire and EMS Department as a Firefighter Paramedic. Fr. Jeremy has also served as a consultant in the field of Emergency Management and Disaster Response and Recovery.
Fr. Jeremy has a passion for youth ministry and nurturing their faith formation. He has served as a leader in youth programs at his home parish of Holy Trinity in West Palm Beach and for at-risk youth at the Compass Community Center in Lake Worth. Here at Holy Sacrament Fr. Jeremy works with our Youth Coordinator and Children’s Ministry Leader to foster faith formation with our children, youth, young adults and their families.
