Mission Day 1: Saturday, June 8.

IMGP6791aWe had a pleasant flight from Fort Lauderdale to Montego Bay, Jamaica. We had our usual delay at the airportIMGP6812a because all the necessary paperwork which was sent to the Ministry of Health had not been forwarded to the Customs Department. Despite the delay and minor inconvenience we got off to a good start and arrived safely at our accommodation at the Silver Sands Resort. In light of our late arrival, we did not have the opportunity to visit the Granville Home for Safety for Girls on Saturday as we usually did.

The missionaries are all in good spirits and looking forward to the days to come.

Mission Day 2: Sunday, June 9

The group attended services at St Peter’s Anglican Church in Falmouth. Father Garfield Campbell acknowledged our presence and we wereIMGP6813agreeted warmly by the congregation.

IMGP6821aServices at St Stephen’s-in-the hills-of Litchfield followed, and Pere Maud conducted an inspiring service. We were greeted warmly as usual and refreshments along with baked items were provided.

The members of the Team returned to their hotel feeling rather tired but eager to begin their missionary work. Team members are bonding exceptionally well. This is the first time our missionaries are fitting in well and providing valuable input.

P.S. We watched as the Miami Heat demolished the San Antonio Spurs. GO HEAT!!!
