It’s Saturday, and once again it is homeward bound from the Dominican Republic to South Florida. Before leaving the hotel, Father Vicente took me to bless the newborn son of Davis and Judith Santana. It was wonderful to see her again and to see their new baby.

???????????????????????????????On reaching Santo Domingo after a 2-hour drive, the team, (excluding Karen Eddy who remained in the Dominican Republic to spend a week with her aunt), did some shopping for about 90 minutes in the Market, buying souvenirs for family and friends.  Then it was off to the Santo Domingo International Airport where we checked in and had lunch at the Mango Village Restaurant. The team had an exciting time sharing together in conversation.

Although our flight was delayed by 45 minutes, we arrived in Miami at about 7:10 p.m. – 15 minutes after the scheduled time. We had a good flight but getting through the Miami Airport was horrendous. There were literally hundreds of people in the queue ahead of us waiting to be processed by Immigration. When we collected our baggage, the team stood in a circle in the Baggage area, held hands and prayed, thanking God for our safe return and the work we had done in the Dominican Republic. There was also a long queue to go through the Customs Department. All in all, I got home just after 9:00 p.m.

We give God thanks for the wonderful time we had and for the opportunity to serve him in the Dominican Republic.
