Liturgical dancing is incorporated into worship services or litugies at Holy Sacrament. The dancers express worship, prayer and praise to God through dance and the movement of their bodies. The history of liturgical dancing goes back to the Old Testament where it is recorded that King David danced before the Ark of the Covenant (1 Chronicles 15:29).
The types of dances are often based on the different kinds of music that accompany the dances.
The Liturgical Dancers of our church are called "The Feet of Worship." They strive to live out their mission of touching the hearts of others through dance, as they seek to honor God in their movements, and expect to give nothing but their best.
