Holy Sacrament Episcopal Church

Friends Reaching Friends is an outreach mission ministry of Holy Sacrament Episcopal Church addressing the needs of orphaned, sick, abused and underprivileged children since 1987. The group also continues to assist individuals, organizations and institutions, both locally and overseas.

Our annual mission team to The Dominican Republic treats approximately 400 underprivileged children, dispensing medicines while holding a Vacation Bible School for another 150 to 200 children, and engaging in light construction in terms of painting homes and other edifices and building furniture and structures.

Our Jamaica mission team has provided services to the Granville Place of Safety for Girls, Clifton Boys Home and St. Monica’s Children’s Home. Recently, it has focused its attention on the Granville Place of Safety for Girls. In addition, in December we make an annual Christmas trip bearing gifts for kids and care givers.

We engage in a number of activities during the year, some of which include:    
· Summer mission trips to Jamaica and the Dominican Republic in which we touched the lives of hundreds of children.
· Mother’s Day Flower and Bake Sale to benefit our mission work.
· Annual Gala Dinner Dance Fundraiser in February (Saturday closest to Valentine's Day) to support our mission work.
· Volunteering at the Daily Bread Food Bank.
· Donation of gas money to parents of cancer kids in order for them to travel to and from the hospital.
· Delivery of Thanksgiving baskets and toys to families of children undergoing cancer treatment.
· Donation to the Diocese of the Dominican Republic for clergy respite care.
· Back to School program for Clifton’s Boys Home, Granville Girl’s Home and St. Monica’s Children Home.
· Jamaica Angel Tree Program and Christmas gift delivery mission trip in early December.
